thing is, when you are used to eating different things, hopping from
chinese to sushi to burritos and korean tofu, you end up missing it.
when i am in the US i'd sell a toe for ingredients i can't find, like
decent mozzarella, for instance. but when i go to italy, i crave pho
and tofu and sushi and biryani and curry, and i end up making fried
rice, quesadillas and endless batches of guacamole for my yet-
unconvinced mother...

I was surprised on my first visit to Italy that there was an abscence of
resturants serving other cuisines. The resutrants were simply called
that,
no "Guido's Italian Resturant" there.
Then I realized, this is the home office for food, despite what another
nearby country thinks. Who needs anything else?
