This is a good aproach but it also requires a different kind of
interpolation. Despite of capturing three colors at every pixel
location, colors are not well separated and too much processing is
needed to enhance color while suppressing noise. I am pretty sure bayer
pattern is something like petrol. This technology is invented for sure
(like hydrogen cars, etc...) but sensor manufacturers must earn money
with these sensors to pay the high R&D cost before launching non-bayern
pattern sensors.
