Once I had to take an impromptu shot of my manager/supervisor in a new studio classroom. Pulled out a business card, and used that to bounce the oncamera flash (department camera) onto the ceiling, and that worked rather well. I wasn't told it was for publication, and I didn't have my camera with me either.
