I seriously doubt that I'm good enough of a darkroom technician to achieve
the level of perfection these particular prints have, but my point is that
the guy producing those prints isn't a hack either.
In all honesty, I've probably produced only 1/2 dozen prints in the darkroom
which have, to my critical eye, achieved "best possible". Strangely enough,
that's about the same number of non-B&W images I've ever taken that have
attained that same level using modern techniques and technologies.
