Thanks. I slid the rubber bumper at the end of the hood back 1/4 inch and a 4" 
id plastic lid fits perfectly.  Mine is 77 but not screw-in --- it clips into a 
groove next to the red ring.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out.  I don't suppose many of you have a 

Tokina 80-200/2.8 but the plastic lid from a can of Blue Diamond 

Smokehouse Almonds (6 oz I think) makes a nice fit over its lens hood 

(77mm screw in).  It even looks nice.  It's red with no markings.
