late to the thread, but. I had two Samsung 213T monitors, Both of which
the lights dimmed within 6 months and could no longer be calibrated.
I have since been using Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitors. Although the blue
channel still needs to be cranked up to achieve calibration, they are still
working ok after ~ 2years. Too often reviews do not take into consideration
the lifetime of the display and its light source. Needless to say, I would
need a lot of convincing to believe a Samsung would be a worthy monitor
for photography editing.
