Rotated counter-clockwise (right side up) about 95% of the time and
probably because I find it awkward to use my thumb on the shutter button
and even more awkward to use the index finger when rotated clockwise.
But for reasons I don't really understand and have never tried to
analyze I do occasionally take one the other way. I also don't think I
use one body differently than another. I have the optional battery pack
for my Mynolta A1 which has an auxiliary shutter button for use in
vertical orientation but I found that (out of habit I suppose) I really
didn't use that shutter button very much because it requires changing
your grip on the camera and I much preferred getting rid of the battery
pack and its extra weight.
