Let's see, would that be Tweedle-Dum or Tweedle-Dee?
Sorry, I've given up on American national politics. With Big Money in
control, you're going to always get the best politicians money can buy.
Wouldn't it be interesting to outlaw direct contributions and publicly
fund all campaigns? But that would be too much like the hated
Socialism, which everyone knows is just one slippery slope away from
Godless Communism.
Anyway, my absentee ballot will be going for Nader. Or maybe I'll
write in Gravel, or even Ron Paul. As long as they keep sending me
disposable candidates, I'm throwing my vote away.
:::: fas-cism (fash'iz'em) n. A system of government that exercises a
dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of
state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism.
-- American Heritage Dictionary, 1983 (reference to "business" was
removed in later editions)
