You and James have convinced me to attempt to repair it myself. After
all, it is just a lens and it is basically worthless so why bother
paying even more to have it shipped and professionally restored?
Since the lens takes fantastic photos, it'll surely become my
throw-in-the-bag walk-around zoom.
