I don't have any experience scanning MF film. I don't suppose you could go wrong with a Nikon 9000 ED other than the price. Before making a purchase decision I would strongly suggest that you read these reviews on the Epson V700 and V750 flatbed scanners which have been very favorably reviewed for use with both medium format and 35mm film and sell for dramatically less money. The V700 <http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/interactive/Epson%20V700/page_1.htm> The V750 (basically the same device but with Anti-Reflection Optical Coating on the CCD glass to minimize the amount of reflection plus pro-level software and color control) <http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/interactive/Epson%20V750/page_1.htm> Note that page 5 of the V750 review shows a direct comparison to the Nikon 9000 ED. The Nikon wins but the results are so close that you may prefer to consult your wallet for further advice. Either of these is dramatically less expensive than the 9000 ED and both allow loading twice as much film in a single go.
