Moose, thanks for the article. I don't think it's as simple as -1EV
though. My experience, which is not yet extensive, is that if there
is no bright highlight, then the metering is pretty dead on. On low
light, high ISO, shoot RAW. The results will be DRAMATICALLY
different WRT noise, no compensation needed. With bright highlights,
try -1/3 to -1 to taste.
