One of the advantages of winning is that you get to write the history
books - or invent Hollywood to reconstruct reality for you.
Given that this thread was initiated in the spirit of rejecting crude
nationalism, this is a clear turn for the worse and I think that I
object.
After all, given the Americans are so deeply wedded to the idea of
revolution, it's astonishing how intolerant they are of the same urge
in others.
