I tried comparing the 40-150 against the 50-200 on my E-330.
I remembered your focus problem when I found the 40-150 to focus
properly and the 50-200 would not.
I was amazed at how well the 40-150 worked but very disappointed with
the 50-200. My first thoughts were that I had a bad lens.
Then I thought I would venture outside in the cold weather and repeat
the test.
As it turned out, the 50-200 outperformed the 40-150 when it wasn't
trying to focus through a double pane window.
For some reason the 40-150 didn't have any trouble focusing through the
window.
