You are undoubtedly right, Priit, but I have had bad experiences with
the post from the USA. In addition to problems with the US Postal
Service, when the parcel gets to the UK the Royal Mail plays a lottery
with such "imports" and puts some into the Customs for levying import
duty. Finally, the Royal Mail charges around GBP8 for the
administration of this lottery.
So, tempted as I have been (repeatedly) by offers from the US,
especially on the List, I have not used the US Postal Service for a
year or so. The same goes for my resisting the temptation of the
undoubted quality of John H's work and I should advise anyone in the
UK to use a repair shop in Luton or Colchester.
