Well there is good news and there is bad news.
The bad news is that I am going completely insane: I could swear I had
a copy of the magazine with the test in it. I can clearly picture the
article and the cover of the magazine. But.... The article isn't in
there. It is the #2 1990 issue I have pictured. I am loosing my
marbles. Off to the loony farm.
On the other hand, the good news is that I have the #2 1993 issue and
it has a eight page article on the crash test of a Cont@x RTS III.
Complete with pictures. - Oh horror! -
Camera covered in ice, covered in sawdust, placed in a steam room,
mounted in a paint-can mixer: cold shivers down my spine.
The article does make reference to the two previous candidates of the
crash test: the Le1ca R6 and the Olympus OM-4Ti. To me that is a
strong enough indication that similar tests have been executed and
that the OM-4 has withstood the torture.
And even if it's all bollocks, why let the truth get in the way of a good story?
Regards,
Bart
