Hi everyone,
My name is Brent, 31 yrs old, living in Sydney Australia.
I've been lurking on this list for a while, trying to pick up some
hints. A month or two ago I purchased an OM-1 (beautiful piece of
machinery), which got me hooked, followed quickly by a few Zuiko
lenses, an OM-10 or two, and a bunch of miscellaneous accessories.
Has turned into somewhat of a compulsion now, although I'm trying to
resist the urge to fill the study shelves up.
I love the way film forces me to try and think through the shot - like
a form of meditation I guess. Whenever I have a digital in my hands I
end up taking hundred of photos and choosing the 10 or so decent
ones. A lot less fun for some reason.
Anyway, I've put up my favourite shots from the 2nd and 3rd films.
The first film was mostly taken of the Great Wall in China, but I
haven't had it scanned yet.

Comments welcome - I am still getting used to the cameras, and think
my composition needs a lot of help.
Thanks,
Brent
P.S. the light meter on my OM-1 is about 6 stops out (using 1.35V
hearing aid batteries) - should I bother trying to get this fixed (is
it likely to be an easy fix?), or should I just go old fashioned and
find a good hand-held light meter / "sunny 16"? The photos on the web
site from the OM-1 were mostly guessed exposures based off an initial
comparison to another camera.
