Nice Olympus ad in the new Shutterbug. Can't miss it. A trifold
that's about twice as heavy as the regular page.

Yes, the ad makes it look like they want to be a contender. I think their
current ad campaign is going to sell some cameras. That will be good for the
"Big O" and also for each of us. Go, "Big O."
On another note, I had the pleasure of being responsible for photographing
an event honoring our veteran's this week which featured General Tommy Franks
as the key note speaker. I hired a friend of mine who does this for a living
to be my "money shot" guy and I backed him up. We first did a VIP reception
for the sponsors of the event and then went to a large local church for the
actual event. There were somewhere between 2000 and 2500 people at the
church and most of what I did there was done with my 50-200mm DZ and at an ISO
of
800. This lens is one I had thought about trading up from to the new faster
focusing 50-200. I may still do that, however the point of all this is that
somewhat to my surprise, because most of what I was shooting at the church
was available light at ISO 800, most of my images were very acceptable quality
wise and in focus. I'll post a few to the list later in the week. Yes,
Martha, Bill thinks he has finally figured out how to do that.
I won't be the first to get the e-3, however it won't be too many months
before one will be living at my home. Olympus, although a little slow coming
to
market, is giving me what I need in digital imaging. Go, "Big O." Bill
