yes I cleaned the nozzles, and it had a fresh cartridge, the first print
from qimage was fine until it stopped after printing 1/3, quality was
good and free from banding - then as soon as I went back to printing
from any mac based program the banding appeared, so I don't think it is
the printer specifically, more like the mac driver/utility which is no
where near as good as the windows version.
what is also significant is that the banding changes, in lightroom, when
I selected the 890 photo paper option the banding was much thicker and
affected only certain parts of the image.
Do you get good prints direct from aperture with the 1290 and can you
select paper and resolution or is it all automatic.
