Seems odd to me that Oly would field a model into the most
competitive spec segment and then price it considerably more. It is
most similar to the D200 which is also essentially the same size and
weight and undercuts it by $500. The D300 considerably outspecs it
for the same announced price. And surely customers will be tempted by
the $600 price leaders. My price prediction: $1200 by next summer.
