It's all in the way you see things. :-)
I've decided that from now on I'm going to regard an LCD screen as a
TTL finder - and often a very good one.
Once people bought flip-up wire frame sports finders which did much
the same thing.
I have to use little slip on optical finders for some wide angle
lenses on my rangefinders.
These are crude substitutes, plagued by parallax.
Live view on a compact is neat, really neat, especially now that the
technology is getting better and they have wider viewing angles and
perform better in bright light. The E-330 was great to use for that
reason.
We aren't there only because wherever we are is 'here'.
