Funny, I made a mental note last night to ask a similar question...:)
I was looking at my OM1 and Kiev rangefinder last night and remembered how
well both performed in below 0 deg.C conditions. Keep this in mind for now.
I bought my first OM (thats also my first camera) in 1996 after extensive
research on cameras suitable for astrophotography. Second place candidate were
two Pentax cameras. So I went on "that" website and did a search coz somehow I
convinced myself that I need yet another camera.... I was stunned by the
prices I saw. They are higher from what they were a year ago. Then I went and
searched for OM cameras. Not as high as the Pentax, but I see a definite
increase.
But what stunned me the most was the almost total absence of OM4(Ti). I
don't have a good grip on the market, as I was always a very casual and
infrequent searcher, but this is very unusual.

Has anyone paid attention to the back cover of the last two KEH
catalogs? In big red type they proclaim that these are:
"KEH.com's MOST WANTED" and offer REWARDS for information leading to the
the apprehension of, etc, etc. The ads continue by listing 5 classes of
equipment they're searching for.
Large format lenses
Hasselblad bodies
Canon Digital bodies & lenses
Nikon Digital bodies & lenses
Olympus & Pentax bodies
I find it interesting that the only MF 35mm film bodies they're actively
pursuing are Olympus and Pentax. Why are just OM's and Pentaxes in
demand? Size and weight? And why just bodies?
