doesn't the Canon go to 250 with flash??
The 20D, 30D and 40D have 1/250 flash sync. The 5D (bigger shutter)
only does 1/200. However, on the 5D, you can enable the "ISO expansion"
which allows a "LO" setting of 50 and "HI" setting of 3200. Shooting at
ISO 50 at 1/200 is almost as good as shooting at ISO 100 at 1/400 but,
of course, it takes twice as much flash power at 50 than at 100 and
there could conceivably be more subject motion recorded under ambient
light at 1/200 vs 1/400.
The smaller sensor cameras only go down to ISO 100. The 40D has an ISO
expansion feature too but it only goes up to 3200, not down to 50.
In any case it's liberating over OM's. I was never able to shoot fill
flash with an OM without an ND filter.
