This is the newest version of singapore -- I was using the previous
one before, but they've updated the default style for galleries and it's
that little bit cleaner and the CSS works better. Now I have the task of
moving everything over from one to the other, but on the upside, that'll
finally give me a chance to (re)organise everything while I do that.
Style aside (and there's other skins for singapore) it does what a
good gallery app should, ie I just dump files into folders on the web
host, and it magically handles thumbnail creation for me; I can edit
file descriptions from a browser, etc.
[OT tech stuff follows, beware]
The main advantage of singapore (for me) is that all the data is
stored in plain text files (rather than the more common sql database [1]
that (for instance) gallery uses). That makes it simpler to back up /
restore, and should be easier to move between web hosts. I can also
understand the code in singapore, it's just about simple enough for me
to keep up with -- so I've tweaked mine to put the exif info in.

[1] using mysql for metadata storage is almost certainly more efficient,
but because I don't understand how databases work, I don't trust them.
Text files, I get.. :)
