(a) Perhaps the print itself is not exactly 100% flat. Being fibre-based
paper (no PE paper during then....we're talking about a print from the early
to mid 50s), it's almost impossible to get it flat
(b) I did mention earlier that there's some scaling on the scanner's glass
platen, most likely caused by the horrific humidity over here.
(c) The print itself might have begun to fade unevenly. This can happen.
Other than these three reasons, I'm not sure
