No, it doesn't directly affect the RAW images.
Yes, it may affect the default image you see when you start RAW
processing. My Olys so far (approaching 35 years) are film only (Like
you until now, I have Canon DSLR(s).) So I don't know about the Oly
software.
I do know that some RAW processing software presents the image for
processing with the parameters from the camera settings. Adobe ACRS does
not, so using it, the camera settings are quite irrelevant.
