Hi guys,
Tnx a lot for the recommendations!
I'll do my best to report the IP addresses to spamcop and spamhaus.
It does look like it's virus-driven, as the calls come from a variety
of IP addresses simultaneously. Annoying. This way, the ISPs may at
least get their end users to clean up their machines.
Also, I'll do the following:
1-First try to get Apache to only accept calls to this script from my
own server itself, such that the scripts do not need to be enhanced
with further (annoying) security measures.
2-If that fails, or doesn't proof to be full-proof, I'll have to add
something like Captcha challenges (i.e. having to add a randomly
generated code when entering comments) or so....
O.k., gimme a few days, and it should be fixed. Meanwhile: yesterday
I spent some 4 hours to reconstruct the obviously spammed entries. I
think I've got them all covered now (or at the very least the ones
that were heavily spammed), but if someone still comes across entries
that have all sorts of links to (mostly Russian) p*rn sites, etc.,
please let me know...
Cheers,
Olafo
