Well, I'm fascinated. Did you go to the silly little animation in the
link "Digital Image Stabilization" in the first paragraph of the
Overview tab here?
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1287
It says about the 770SW, "When selected using the camera's mode dial,
Digital Image Stabilization Mode uses a high ISO sensitivity and fast
shutter speed to enable you to beautifully and clearly capture images
free from the blur sometimes caused by camera shake and moving subjects.
>From family events to sporting events, from still life to wild life,
every image, every image will be crisp and clear, just as you remembered
it."*
So my simple question is why, if Oly has such special technology in this
camera, they say nothing about it? They do so with the 750, 760 and 780:
"DUAL IMAGE STABILIZATION. Take crisp, clear, blur-free images every
time. Olympus' Dual Image Stabilization provides a powerful 2-in-1
anti-blur solution. Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization compensates for
camera shake and Digital Image Stabilization freezes action with high
ISO sensitivity and fast shutter speed." Once again saying DIS is only
iso boost.
