Compared to the 5D, EVERYTHING is noisy.  I do totally agree with
Chuck--Panasonic got sucked into more/bigger without really making it
better. The Panasonic image processor is probably the biggest culprit
in this problem.  Some of the cameras with similar sized sensors and
pixel-pitch don't suffer from the smearing that goes on in the
Panasonic.
