There would be enough if Congress had not made the decision to toss Social
Security
Tax Income into General Funds. If it had been left in a separate account and
allowed
to earn interest, it would have become sufficient. The problem is that Congress
keeps
spending the Social Security money on other things. But, why should they care?
They
receive a life time pension from a single term in office. It makes one wonder,
if it is a
case of enforced savings, why is Congress spending the savings of John Q. and
Jane
Public? Should that not be illegal?
