E-body -> 4/3-OM converter -> 65-116 -> reversing adapter -> lens

Depends on what you mean by "not as well". The ex-25 will preserve AF
and stuff if you're using digital lenses on it, but it only gives you
25mm of extension. The auto tube gives you more, and reversing a lens
will give you better optical performance.
(after all, you can put a lot of lenses on extension tubes and still
get an image out of it, as long as the focal point isn't actually inside
the glass -- but it may not be an image that's worth much. See a post
from me a while ago called "stupid macro tricks" for an example of that..)
