Neighbor: "Why do you have all these branches and leaves and dead  
plants lying around? Why don't you rake them all up and burn them?"

Me: "It's called 'berming' in Permaculture. While you're raking and  
burning, I'm sitting in that chair on the deck with a nice drink,  
building soil and watching nature take it's course."

(Would 'sloth' by any other name sound so sweet? :-)
