Hi Richard,
No flash, 21mm f2 Zuiko. The church is 13th century but the font in #03 was
carved from a solid block of pink marble and was
presented to the church in 1865.
For anyone interested in English architecture the church interior and much of
the village was restored in 1865 under the direction
of Sir George Gilbert Scott. Scott is more famous for designing London
landmarks like the Albert Memorial and St Pancras railway
station. His work in a small Northamptonshire village was the result of his
friendship with the Rev. Richard Pulteney the rector
and squire of Ashley from 1853 to 1874.
Thanks for looking.
