I went up to my cabin to check things out today. We only have about four
feet of snow which is considerably less than normal. I love winter. Snow is
different here than it is in many places. Rather than a nasty inconvenience,
here it is an opportunity for sport and recreation not to mention water for
the following summer's crops. Our ski areas have not had new snow for a week
and folks are depressed about that. All the creamy powder has been tracked
up and we need a snowy transfusion. The sun was out today and everything was
beautiful........and I forgot to take a camera. There were about 50 swans
feeding in the river and now I can't share that image. Oh well, there will
be another time. /jmac

Probably not for long, south of the border anyway, Donald. but I
like pretty well all of those photos. I like the colour of the snow
(white, not grey) and the luminance of many of them.
I do hope that I get a chance to "do snow" this year ...
