I look forward to being surrounded by a different kind of wildlife. In the
short time we have owned it in addition to the deer and turkey we've seen on
our little 10 acres of Texas hill country, there has been an assortment of
butterflies, birds, critters and a snake or two.
I was a big hunter when I was younger
Me, too and I gave it up 40 years or so ago. The love of the woods remains,
although the thrill of the hunting and harvesting has been replaced with the
thrill of the hunting and capturing of the image. Although I don't
participate any longer, I'm glad there are those who keep the dear population
thinned
down a bit. Just don't do it on my 10 acres as I may be down there with my
camera and sure don't want to get shot. Had a fellow I knew in my younger
days who got shot out of a tree,because another hunter thought he was a
turkey. He survived, however that type of thing is not totally uncommon.
