The LCD screen on the camera was a bit deceiving as I initially thought
the exposure was OK. I was cold, set up close to the road with
occasional 45 mph traffic and didn't take the time to check the
histogram. I also had trouble with the spot meter since it was
extremely difficult to tell where the moon was in the viewfinder. I
couldn't tell when I was centered. It would be wonderful if there was a
way to turn on 4 LEDs, one in each corner of the viewfinder, to get an
indication of the boundaries of the viewfinder when there is little light.
When I brought the images up to do RAW conversions, they were really
dark. Had to push then 1.5 EV. I also pushed the final image a bit
more in PS by placing one anchor at the middle of the line in "curves"
and dragging upwards a bit to brighten the midtones.
