to be honest I have never been patient enough to test it out, It does also have a dust removal feature specially for Kodachrome's I believe, but I have not tested that either I just use canned air. But I don't scan often. And I will switch from kodachrome anyway now as the swiss processing plant is shut, good job I only have 4 rolls stockpiled.
