Don't think I haven't protected my OMs that way a few dozen
times.
Also, disposable shower caps from hotel rooms really come in
handy too. When you are shooting in the rain and using a
tripod, just snap one of those over the camera and lens. When
you're ready to take a picture just lift the front side up just
enough to clear the lens. 'Course, umbrellas and wide-brimmed
hats are nice.
Reminds me of a time I had the OM-2S out one rainy day. The
next day it was scheduled to be sent to John for a CLA and some
maintenance anyway, so I just didn't bother worrying about it.
I asked him if any got inside and he answered that everything
was clean as a whistle. Maybe the environmental seals aren't
super good, but it was still good enough.
