Turn the control lever to the "Battery Check" position, and if the batteries
are ok, you hear an electronic tone. If the tone stops after ~30 seconds,
you have an OM-4 with a later circuit. If it doesn't stop after 30 seconds,
your OM-4 has the early circuit, which tuends to exhaust batteries more
quickly than the later circuit (and that's not counting all the battery
testing you have just done).
