A couple of years ago I drove through Missoula, Montana and topped up
for the long drive to Pocatello. I did not make it. My fuel
consumption had dropped dramatically with the ethanol mixture I had
topped up with. It was a rather panicky time in the middle of winter
with most gas stations closed for the season. After twenty minutes of
driving with the reserve light I found an open station. I can't
imagine the reduction of range you would get with the 85% mixture.
