It's not that they don't have any place else to go. They don't want to
go anywhere else. They're there because of all the inviting things to
eat and also because there's no natural predator to eat them. When the
area was forest these animals didn't exist. Deer populations are very
low in forested areas. There are many more deer today than were here
before the country was settled.
We've created the problem for sure but it's not, as with so many other
creatures, from destroying their natural habitat. It's from creating a
new habitat much better for deer than what they had before.
