There are some on this list, me included, who sincerely wish that that
particular eureka moment hadn't happened. We think it's much better
to not induce the red-eye effect in the first place (my moving the
flash away from the lens) than reduce it or eliminate it in
post-processing. We find it intensely annoying to see the huge
number of pictures out there, some of them taken by supposed
professionals, which have reduced but still noticeable red-eye.
I'd much rather the built-in flash were mounted on telescopic legs,
ideally with a rotating head so you can bounce it too.
