Has anyone checked the recyling times for both?
With the batteries I have at hand the
Alkaline take about 8 seconds to charge
NiMH take about 5 seconds to recharge.
(FL50 from full dump to battery ready light) Neither set of batteries is new
nor in the case of the NiMH fresh from the charger.

The Procell are a alkaline battery.
The internal resistance of an alkaline battery is too high form fast
charging of a flash.
For flash use the NiMH battery is better and the Ni-Cad is even better
because of the low internal resistance.
However, the NiHM battery will have a higher capacity.
