Nope. As others noted, you're probably opening a 16-bit image and need
to downconvert it to 8-bit for some of the filters to work (other
filters work fine in 16-bit -- eventually, I hope that Adobe will catch
up and make 'em *all* work well in 16-bit, but...).
Go to the drop-down menus in the upper left-hand corner of your PSCS2
window, select:
Image --> Mode
and see what the bit-depth of your image is. Probably 16. Select "8
Bits/Channel." PSCS2 will downconvert without any further input from
you (losing some image info in the process, but, well...). Now you
should have the full range of filters available to you.
