If you do use non-OEM inks, you will probably invalidate the guarantee.
I've been told that they can tell if non-original ink has been used. But
don't know how they'd do this. I discovered this when I mistakenly used
a photo-cyan cartridge, when I should have used cyan in my Canon i865.
The photo-cyan made photos appear sedia'd<Confused>.
Also I've found that different papers can change the image. With normal
Canon photo paper, my photos look normal. Yet with the heavier weight
papers they come out darker. Local experts put this down to the level of
ink absorbed by the paper.
