Very few mosquitos in the north? How far north? Above the arctic
circle? I sometimes stay at my wife's aunt's house which is very near
Ocean City on the other side of the peninsula from Cambridge. Typical
flat, sandy wooded area with lots of poorly draining depressions.
Mosquitos for sure but I don't think there are any more there than
appear out of my one acre of marshland outside Boston. In neither place
would you enjoy being outdoors near and after sunset without a screened
enclosure or at least some sort of mosquito protection.

I'm not familiar with Cambridge but I would expect the bay side to be a
little worse than the ocean side. But the place I stay is a few miles
inland from the ocean so has a lot more mosquitos than you'd find right
along the beach.

Perhaps you could rent a portable, screened gazebo if the place doesn't
have a screened porch where you can enjoy the night air.
