Nice pictures, but what did this guy expected ? A DSLR is basically a decent
laptop computer crammed into an SLR body, around the mechanical parts.
Granted, you can put most of it into the film cartridge slot, but it'll be a
tight fit anyway. I've read that flexible chips are around the corner, but
until it reaches the production stage, DSLR will be heavy and stuffed.
I gave a try to the E-500 (don't know the US name) a couple of weeks ago, but
there's no way I carry one around, it feels like an anvil compared to the OM
line. The shop clerck was an Olympus nut too, and he was almost sorry to hand
me that camera. Where's Maitani vision of an inobtrusive yet complete
system ? I like street photography a lot, it would be like aiming a bazooka
at people to try shooting candids with that. That plus the fact it's written
'steal me, I'm worth a lot' everywhere on it.
