Thanks, it was hard to get the shots I wanted. The light was best during
afternoon commute hour, so there was a lot of traffic in the circle most
of the time. A lot of patience finally snagged a shot with just the one
white convertible. It gives a whole different feeling than a circle
jammed with cars and trucks.

This is in a residential area, not any sort of through route, so the
vast majority of people using it use it regularly. Some like me, with 40
+ years experience at it. There are also lots of stop and yield signs.
so actually it works pretty smoothly most of the time. Occasionally a
hesitant stranger does hold it up for everybody.
But no, Californians, and USians in general, aren't nearly as adept, or
agressive, at roundabouts at you folks are. I got pretty good at it,
managing to dash from Victoria Station to Hampstead at rush hour in
record time without incident in a little Ford 1100, rowing furiously
through the big roundabouts with my left hand. And there they were, a
family in the lobby sitting on their suitcases, hoping we wouldn't make
the 6 pm deadline to claim our reservations.
