Yes, the San Diego Zoo is probably the best zoo in the US. At least it
used to be. I haven't paid any attention to zoos in about 10 years.
The Miami Metro Zoo was trying to model itself on the San Diego Zoo
before is was mostly destroyed by hurricane Andrew in '92. Don't know
what's happened there since I left Florida in '95.
