My progressives work fine with viewfinders on OM-4 bodies and Can*n DSLR 
bodies with diopter adjustments - so far...

I've been pretty satisfied with AF in general. For me, the thing I have 
to do is to remain involved in the process, not just assume AF will take 
care of it. Left to its own, default devices, AF will sometimes focus 
quite accurately on the wrong thing. I have mine set to the center 
sensor only by default and use focus and modest reframe for many shots. 
Sometimes, when I think that's not going to work right due to parallax, 
etc., I reset the active focus point to one of the others for a specific 
shot. I almost never let the camera choose the focus point. I started 
out that way with my first DSLR, and wasn't happy with the results.
