Jeff, HiLux improves focusing accuracy by presenting a somewhat
brighter and generally more contrasty image off the screen. Things
seemed to 'snap' in and out of focus more decisively.
Actually, you may want to check with them because if memory serves,
Katzeye has a contract with one of Maxwell's labs to apply HiLux to
their 'Plus' series of screens and they call it Optibright. You'll
have to contact them directly to explore details.
Back in my medium format days I switched to HiLux screens and was very
impressed by how much better they were that other premium screens.
Worked consistently well in all kinds of lighting situations
regardless of the maximum aperture of the lens being used.
